Make Your Mark and Youth Zone Logo Ballot

The annual make your mark ballot gives a unique opportunity for young people aged 11-18 the chance to vote on the issues that matter most to them, to decide what Members of Youth Parliament debate in November 2018 within the House of Commons. The ballot decides what Members of the UK Youth Parliament should debate and vote on to be their campaign for in 2019.

We also use the information locally to inform our Youth Council manifesto and the Young Hammersmith and Fulham Foundation uses it to inform their organization.

Here is a 2 minute video which explains the 10 key topics and the voting process which can be used to explain the vote in registration, assembly or PHSE/Citizenship sessions.:

This year we also linking the MYM vote with a vote for a logo and branding for the new Youth Zone (multi purpose centre being built for YP in the borough).

By far the easiest way to vote is to show the video for MYM and the Youth Zone presentation to young people and get them to vote on their top issue and favourite Youth Zone logo design with a show of hands which you can tally up.

Please return completed tally sheets to Brenda.Whinnett@lbhf.gov.uk

Tally sheets will also be available to all YHFF members at our Membership events in September.

Young people are also able to carry out the Make Your Mark (but not the Youth Zone logo vote) online.
